
While playing San Andreas, one controls the movements and actions of Carl as he proceeds through the storyline and finishes missions. Carl is a member of the Grove Street Families, a gang located in Los Santos.

Considered by many as one of the greatest games of all-time, San Andreas introduced many gameplay mechanics that would go on to be used in future Grand Theft Auto titles. In typical Grand Theft Auto fashion, the game features many references to real life elements and world events. Set in the early 90s, you play as Carl ‘CJ’ Johnson, who finds himself on the run after cops frame him for homicide.
